It's called civilization. Women invented it, and every time you men blow it all to bits, we just invent it again.

About This Quote

In my book 1001 Things You Really Need To Know, I wrote that when an ancient philosopher said they invented civilization, what they really meant was that women invented it. In ancient times, women were not allowed to own property or make contracts. They could not vote and they were often treated as second-class citizens. But by inventing civilization women did more than just give men the right to vote and own property.

They also gave men new ways to meet and socialize with other people. Women let men talk during meals and made it so they did not have to speak to their boss and coworkers at work. Women even invented rules for dating and sex.
